PROMISES MADE BY PRESIDENT RUSSELL M. NELSON SINCE BECOMING PRESIDENT OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS

Today I was impressed to study the promises President Nelson has made to members of the Church since he became President on 14 January 2019.  I searched all of his General Conference talks in April and October 2018, as well as his talk to the youth on 3 June 2018.  I also saw a post on lds.org today where he made a promise to the women of the Church relative to their embracing the new home-centered curriculum.  I just thought this would be a good place to share these promises.  I feel that they all relate to our efforts to increase our personal spirituality and to make our homes centers of gospel learning.

President Russell M. Nelson: 

I promise that as you continue to be obedient, expressing gratitude for every blessing the Lord gives you, and as you patiently honor the Lord’s timetable, you will be given the knowledge and understanding you seek. I promise you that if you will sincerely and persistently do the spiritual work needed to develop the crucial, spiritual skill of learning how to hear the whisperings of the Holy Ghost, you will have all the direction you will ever need in your life. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon between now and the end of the year…, I promise that the heavens will open for you.
