PROMISES MADE BY PRESIDENT RUSSELL M. NELSON SINCE BECOMING PRESIDENT OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS

Today I was impressed to study the promises President Nelson has made to members of the Church since he became President on 14 January 2019.  I searched all of his General Conference talks in April and October 2018, as well as his talk to the youth on 3 June 2018.  I also saw a post on lds.org today where he made a promise to the women of the Church relative to their embracing the new home-centered curriculum.  I just thought this would be a good place to share these promises.  I feel that they all relate to our efforts to increase our personal spirituality and to make our homes centers of gospel learning.

President Russell M. Nelson:
I promise that as you continue to be obedient, expressing gratitude for every blessing the Lord gives you, and as you patiently honor the Lord’s timetable, you will be given the knowledge and understanding you seek. Every blessing the Lord has for you—even miracles—will follow. That is what personal revelation will do for you.—April 2018, Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives

I promise you that if you will sincerely and persistently do the spiritual work needed to develop the crucial, spiritual skill of learning how to hear the whisperings of the Holy Ghost, you will have all the direction you will ever need in your life. You will be given answers to your questions in the Lord’s own way and in His own time.—3 June 2018, Worldwide Youth Devotional with President and Sister Nelson

I invite you to read the Book of Mormon between now and the end of the year…, I promise that the heavens will open for you. The Lord will bless you with increased inspiration and revelation…And changes, even miracles, will begin to happen.—October 2018, Sisters’ Participation in the Gathering of Israel

I promise you that if we will do our best to restore the correct name of the Lord’s Church, He whose Church this is will pour down His power and blessings upon the heads of the Latter-day Saints,17 the likes of which we have never seen. We will have the knowledge and power of God to help us take the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people and to prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord.—October 2018, The Correct Name of the Church

I promise that as you diligently work to remodel your home into a center of gospel learning, over time your Sabbath days will truly be a delight. Your children will be excited to learn and to live the Savior’s teachings, and the influence of the adversary in your life and in your home will decrease. Changes in your family will be dramatic and sustaining.—October 2018, Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints

I promise you that our rigorous attention to use the correct name of the Savior’s Church and its members will lead to increased faith and access to greater spiritual power for members of His Church.—October 2018, Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints

I promise you that the Lord will bring the miracles He knows you need as you make sacrifices to serve and worship in His temples. .—October 2018, Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints

As we shift to a more home-centered, Church-supported curriculum,…as the result of your efforts [to embrace this program], I promise that the heavens will open for you. The Lord will bless you with increased inspiration and revelation.—3 February 2019, From lds.org: A Message of Gratitude and a Promise for the Women of the Church in 2019
